A yard or port reception facility also called PRF is an onshore mobile system located at a port or yard, designed to treat ballast water. A Bawat BaaS - ballast as a service solution you can use if your vessel has an inoperable or non-compliant ballast water management system (BWMS), or if the system is undergoing maintenance. 

The vessel’s ballast water is pumped into the Bawat BaaS port side ballast water treatment facility, where it undergoes heat treatment to remove harmful organisms, bacteria, and invasive species.

Bawat BaaS - ballast as a Service operates our port and yard facilities on a pay-per-cubic-meter (m³) model. The exact cost depends on the volume of ballast water that needs to be treated. 

The time required to treat all ballast water tanks depends on several factors, including the total volume of ballast water, the specific characteristics of the ship, and the heat energy available to power the treatment process.

To use Bawat BaaS - Ballast as a Service - Yard and Port Reception Facility, it’s recommended to contact the port authority or the facility operator prior to treatment.

Bawat's Yard an Port Reception Facilities are designed to comply with international standards, including the IMO D2 regulations under the Ballast Water Management Convention.
