Bawat delivers 30,000 tonnes of D-2 compliant ballast water to LNG carrier

Bawat has successfully delivered over 30,000 tonnes of D-2 compliant ballast water to a large LNG carrier in Northern Europe.

The five-day, non-stop operation showcased the strength and flexibility of Bawat’s mobile technology. Running 24 hours a day under challenging conditions, the team not only treated the discharged ballast water but also delivered it directly to the vessel.

In this case, the ship’s installed ballast water treatment system (BWTS) was unable to cope with the low salinity river water. Bawat stepped in to ensure compliance, enabling the vessel to stay on schedule while meeting stringent regulatory requirements.

This project demonstrates the crucial role of mobile solutions when onboard systems fail or face operational limitations. With the ability to mobilize quickly and operate under diverse water conditions, Bawat provides shipowners with a reliable, compliant, and cost-effective alternative.

Anywhere, anytime … healthy oceans start with smart choices.
